Mike Warkentin - What's goin on! Mike is a rap and hip-hop specialist at CCM Recording Studios and is a funky-ass DJ, MC, percussionist. He makes hot fire, whether it be albums, instrumentals, mix-tapes, audio explorations or whatever else comes to mind.
Mike and his brother Zach are the nucleus of the jazz-funk-hip-hop group, Broken Tongues, and are almost finished with their debut album entitled, Vocal Chords. Look out for the first single entitled, Does Hip-Hop Remember the Jazz?, in the coming months.
Mike graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Spring of 2006 with a degree in Visual Communications with emphasis in Audio Design. He toured the SE for several years performing with his old band, Dirty5Thirty, and now resides in his hometown of Denver because he believes in the budding Colorado music scene.
